Medicare Announces Lung Cancer Screening Program

An important announcement is that Medicare is commencing a lung cancer screening program in July 2025 for some high risk patients with a smoking history (patients aged between 50 and 70 year). 

For patients who meet the referral criteria, we are able to provide the low-dose high resolution imaging to help identify early lung cancers at a treatable stage. Your GP will be able to advise if you meet the criteria, and a referral form is needed.
