Important information for our patients

If you have been referred for an image-guided procedure, we will invite you to attend the clinic for an appointment and there will be opportunity to ask any questions, with the nature of the procedure explained by the Radiologist. 

Our staff has extensive experience of working in both hospitals and private clinic settings.  Our aim is to increase the accessibility of diagnostic imaging and image-guided treatments for all patients in the region.

Our area of expertise is in providing pain-relief for a multitude of conditions, working in conjunction with local referring GPs and Specialists.  Most CT-guided procedures are provided as a bulk-billed service.  We offer bulk-billed services to concession card-holders.  In all instances we aim to offer the lowest out-of-pocket expense to our loyal patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

All diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures require a valid referral form from an AHPRA registered medical practitioner, with a valid provider number.  This can be sent as an electronic request from referrers, sent by patients via email, or patients can bring in a printed copy of their referral.

Vasse Radiology provides specialist services locally, with the latest technology and low-dose equipment.  There is a modest fee that is attached to most diagnostic services.  Concession card holders will be bulk-billed.

The majority of CT-guided steroid and local anaesthetic injections are bulk-billed,  to include the hip, knee, shoulder and facet joints.   We are happy to offer bulk-billed CT guided epidural and NRSI also.  There is an out of pocket fee for PRP injections and some US-guided procedures.

Results are sent electronically as a report to the referrer, and should be discussed with them directly.

Images are available for review by the referrer, as a secure electronic link that is attached to the report.

Please ensure that you consult with your referring doctors in regards to obtaining the results of any biopsies or fine needle aspirations.
